Issue: Your Elgato Cam Link 4K video freezes upon launching certain games or starting screen sharing.
Examples of Issue:
- Cam Link video freezes in OBS when launching your game.
- Cam Link video freezes in your Video Conferencing application (Webex, Zoom, etc), when you start sharing your screen.
- You have to unplug your Cam Link from the USB and plug it back in to fix it.
Environment:
- Elgato Cam Link 4K
- PCIe 4.0 Graphics Card, such as NVIDIA RTX 3080
- PCIe 4.0 Motherboard, such as AMD X570, and AMD B550.
Solution: Set your video card to PCIe 3.0 in your motherboard BIOS.
